The starting and struggle of 10 Minute School

Bangladeshi technology entrepreneur Ayman Sadiq developed 10 Minute School in 2015 as a platform for online education. The platform supports academic classes from grades 1 through 12 which cover the entire academic curriculum of the Bangladeshi school system, subjects for getting into university that encompass several study areas, and training in skill development.


Midway through 2014, Ayman Sadiq launched 10 Minute School as a YouTube channel. Initially mostly soul, 10 Minute School did not have a webpage and only corresponded with students through pedagogical infographics. It started with English and math video lectures, then moved on to conducting live classes on Facebook. The entire academic program from Class 1 until Class 12 was subsequently covered by 10 Minute School, encompassing themes for university admission examinations at both public and private universities as well as comprehensive software and skill training.


Finding an appropriate sponsor to fund an organization's operational tasks was one of the biggest barriers back then, but eventually it came to be funded by telecom company Robi Axiata Limited and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

10 Minute School received a $2 million startup expenditure from prominent Sequoia Capital in January 2022.
